I am implementing de BQ40Z80 into a multi-cell application and was wondering if there are any suggested alternatives to the fuse with an embedded heater element. The reason I am asking is because this component is expensive and not available commonly. It is hard to source or have a second source for it.
I looked into implementing a DC/battery equivalent to a "crowbar circuit" but I was wondering if there are any suggested approach to this problem.
