TPS22997: VBIAS < 1.5V behavior

Part Number: TPS22997

Hi Experts,

When VBIAS is lower than 1.5V, which is min voltage for recommended condition, if ON input pin is logic High, does Vout output Vin power?

In other words, when applying slow power ramp, does Vout output toggle or stable?

Regards,

Uchikoshi

  • Uchikoshi-san,

When VBIAS < 1.5V the device is in an undefined state so the operation of the FET is also in an undefined state. For proper operation and defined behavior, it is important to make sure VBIAS is >=1.5V before toggling the IN pin voltage for operation.
