TPS546A24A: feedforward capacitance simulation

Hello expert,

My customer would like to know if we can add feed-forward capacitor on TPS546A24A WEBENCH. Or could you kindly help to provide feed-forward cap adding method/theory on TPS546A24A solution? I can only find app note like below link, is it also useful to TPS546A24A? Thanks a lot!

Hey Ann,

To answer your first question, no, you cannot add a feed-forward cap to the WEBENCH model. You can't really add it to the SIMPLIS model either. A feed forward cap is only useful if the part has a dedicated Feedback pin (FB). For this part, the feedback divider is internal, and voltage is sensed on the VOSNS pin. With that being said, a feedforward cap shouldn't be necessary if the programmable compensation is tuned correctly. Is the customer unhappy with their transient performance?
