LM7310: As Load Switch

Hello team,

I want to enable Charger after detecting battery ( battery insertion ) so that i can protect charger IC from In rush current and any instaneouse voltage fluctuation.

I will on the load switch using Host after battery inserted , untill it will remain OFF.

Battery Charge Current is 2A and Max Voltage is 18VDC.

Can I use LM7310 for same or you can recommend any best suited one ? Allocation diagram is as follow.

Hi Bhupendra,

LM73100 will be good fit. It has reverse current blocking which will prevent battery to discharge to input side when charger is off/removed.

Thanks Kunal,

However , we are looking for leaded IC package. 73100 is QFN (non- Leaded).

Hi Bhupendra,

We don't have a device like LM73100 in leaded package. Can you check TPS2663 device? External FET will be need for blocking reverse current.
