Hi Team,

I would like to ask about the following thread.
https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management-group/power-management/f/power-management-forum/1025312/bq35100-what-does-the-high-load-pulse-indicate/3790640?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=BQ35100%25252520Yaita#3790640

>You do need to make sure the battery is at the best OCV state prior to waking.
Does impedance measurement accuracy may deteriorate if we don't follow the comment above?
I would like to confirm the background of the comment above.

Best Regards,
Yaita

  • Hello Yaita,

The voltage does not need to be completely relaxed, but it is best if it has relaxed for some period of time since if the pulses are too close the voltage relaxation slope may impact the samples the gauge takes right before the pulse. Since we are looking at the delta voltage from before and after the pulse as long as the pulses are periodic the performance should be good.

    Sincerely,
