BQ76952: line interactive Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Circuit

Part Number: BQ76952
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-01292

Hi all

I looking for an newest design of line interactive Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Circuit.

Other than old TIDA-01292

thank you

  • Hi Ilias,

There isn't a specific reference design for UPS but there are overall guides that can be applied to this use case.

A quick look at what is available can be found here: https://www.ti.com/solution/single-phase-line-interactive-ups. Select "Battery Stack" on the architecture block to view the associated GPNs and related reference designs (please see attached image).

These are the relevant reference designs available for the battery stack using monitors/protectors and in some cases gauge IC's for this EE's battery management.

    Hope this helps!

    Best,

  • Thank you for answer.

My main point is the cost of this design.I looking for a low cost solution. For example one UPS with one battery 12v 7Ah.

I want to build a line interactive UPS for one Desktop PC and one printer, and router.

If you have such a solution then I'l going to build it.Other I'l search to another company.

  • Hi Ilias,

I don't think we have the specialization in that area to say in terms of a low cost UPS device solution. It appears that perhaps our devices may not be the right choice for this specific application other than by how you can apply them in a UPS system with our resources as a guide.

The TIDA-01292 you referenced is featuring power mosfets and current sensing IC's.  Maybe it is worth looking to see if there are more updated UPS specific app notes / reference designs for those device family of parts featured in the old TIDA.

    Best,
