TPS65994AE: VBUS connection when using external power path as source

Hello team,

Is it okay to connect internal source path (PP_5V) to VBUS when using the external power path (PP_EXT) as source, like on the picture below? Do I need load switch?

I am concerned that it might confuse the device because external power path is mean to be sink.

(I have confirmed that external power path can be configured as source)

The external power path can be used to source power. However, you will need to provide power to PP5V. You won't want to connect VBUS directly to PP5V, as you're sourcing 9V. You will nee a buck converter or another means to step down the voltage to 5V.
