TPS65994AE: How to connect VSYS when using external power path as source

Hello team,

My customer wants to use the external power path (PP_EXT) as 9V/3A source.

I believe VSYS is used for reverse current protection, so I am afraid that it will go protection mode when current is sourced through PPHV.

Can I just let VSYS floating or should I connect it to somewhere?

    Hi,

    You will need to connect VSYS to PPHV like the schematic example in the datasheet.

    This is the same setup on our EVM and we can source through external power path with no problem.

    This will not cause the device to go into RCP mode under normal operation.
