TPS2663: PDU Design

Part Number: TPS2663

I'm currently working on designing a PDU card that will be connected to a 28V/50A power supply. The PDU will be located 2 meters away from the power supply and will have 5x5A-protected outputs.

For this project, I was thinking of using the TPS2663 due to its compact size and its ability to block reverse currents. However, I have a few questions regarding its suitability for this application:

  1. If a short circuit were to occur on one of the outputs, would the TPS2663 be able to block the DC2DC maximum current?

  2. If I want the PDU card to meet MIL-STD-1275 requirements, would using the TPS2663 help me achieve this goal? And if so, what changes or modifications would be necessary?

  3. Also, what about MIL-STD-461 compliance? Are there any considerations that I should keep in mind with regards to using the TPS2663?

Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing your insights.
