I am using a BQ25170 to charge a LiFePO4 battery. The product can run from external 12V power or from the internal battery. There are times that the 12V power is removed for a long time and the battery can fully discharge to the point that its protection circuit opens. When 12V is reapplied, I expect the charger to go into the precharge state but it does not appear to do so. The voltage out of the charger is only 0.7V and the current going into the battery pack is about 1uA. Why is the voltage not high enough to charge the battery?
