TPS65219: BUCK1-3 Max Output Capacitance Specs

Hi TI, the COUT of BUCK1-3 of this chip is specified for max 220uF. Does this include the total capacitance of all point of load as well or is this the output cap to the BUCK only?

What could be the problem if my apps has total capacitance include POL exceeded the max by 50uF?

    Hi, 

    Thanks for using E2E. The maximum capacitance specified in the datasheet includes local+POL. These would be the capacitance requirements after derating. DC bias voltage characteristics of ceramic capacitors, tolerance, aging and temperature effects must be considered. ESR must be 10 mΩ or lower. Not having the required capacitance on the Bucks could lead to stability issues. 

    Just for reference, the output capacitance requirements depends on the switching mode and bandwidth configuration for the selected OPN. Please let us know if there are any additional questions.
