TPS2116: Question about the Priority mode of TPS2116

Hi TI Teams,

We have some question about the priority mode of TPS2116, the details are show as below:

1) Does the PRI have a delayed comparison function? Due to the influence of the internal resistance of the core, the voltage of light and heavy loads will be different, and the two channels may switch frequently, if there is a delayed comparison function can avoid this problem.

2) Whether there is a problem of different channels being on at the same time during the channel switching in Priority mode?

Hello

There is no delayed comparison feature of the PR1. However hysteresis could be added to the comparison by adding a resistor between the PR1 and ST pins. There is no concern of both channels being on at the same time during switching. This is because our power mux devices use a break-before-make topology where both inputs are disconnected before the device switches over. Do note, during this switchover time, there is no voltage delivered to the load.
