Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62813-Q1, DRA829, DRA829V
Hi Folks,
Looking at the two options to power the DRA829. PDN-0C and PDN-1A are listed in the documents section on the DRA829V product page (as user guides). There is a discrepancy between the two documents regarding the LPDDR4. In both options, LPDDR4 VDD1 is powered by the TPS65941213-Q1 chip, and VDD2, VDDQ and VDDS_DDR_BIAS and VDDS_DDR_IO on the DRA is powered by buck TPS62813-Q1.
In table 2-1 of the PDN 1A option (first row and column), it state “Supports 8Gb of LPDDR4 SDRAM…” and for PDN 0C option (next row) it states ”Supports 8GB of LPDDR4 SDRAM... But then in the PDN 0C document, it has “Supports 32 Gb of LPDDR4 SDRAM…”
If they are powered by the same devices, why the discrepancies?
8Gb = 1GB, 32Gb = 4GB, 8GB=8GB.
Asking because the PDN-1A option is preferred as the power down/safety option is not needed and it is the least complex, but the 8Gb could be limiting if that's not a error in documentation.
From the PDN-1A document:

From the PDN-0C document:

Thanks,
