LM5157: 48V/5A boost

Hi Team,

My customer is surveying boost converter IC to support 48V/5A output, 10V~16V input range, is LM5157 applicable for this power level?

    Hello, 

    Thanks for reaching out. The peak current limit of the LM5157 is only 7.5A typ, therefore this IC is not suitable for the specs above mentioned. Please consider using the LM5156 which is a controller or the LM5123-Q1 (which is a synch boost controller).
