Hello,
We want to change the LP876242 IF from SPI to I2C through NVM configuration on EVM, and the Scable PMICs GUI don't integrate LP876242‘s NVM template, could you please provide it.
Thanks!

Hi Lei,
IF from SPI to I2C can only be changed by creating new NVM configuration.
Can I ask you why are doing this? Is this some kind of temporary change that you want implement or would this be permanent change?
Best regards,
Ishtiaque Panhwar
Hi Ishtiaque,
This is permanent change for only I2C IF in our design. I tried to define a NVM configuration early based the blank template this week, but the PFSM is too complex to pass PFSM validation.
So I want to make this change at the LP87624 dedicated NVM configuration for Dual MMIC and AM2732.
Thanks!
Hi Lei,
What is the Dual MMIC? is it AWR2243 or different? if it is the AWR22343 then that can support SPI and so AM2732. So why still there is need to change interface.
Have you looked at our reference design https://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-020047 for the dual MMIC and with AM2732.
Best regards,
Ishtiaque Panhwar
Hi Ishtiaque,
The application is Dual AWR2243 and Serializer (only support I2C IF), and we know the reference design https://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-020047 for the dual MMIC and with AM2732, so we think you have the corresponding NVM configurations for the reference design.
Thanks!
Hi Lei,
Thanks for the clarification. In this case, this would require new NVM configuration and in order to create new NVM configuration, it has to be certain business case which needs to be discussed through email and you can contact our local sales representative. Let me know if more information is needed.
Best regards,
Ishtiaque Panhwar
Hi Ishtiaque,
Yes, we have contacted with local sales representative.
Toady, we generated a NVM configuration(.bin file, Static configurations and PFSM), when using this configuration to Program Device, always on the interface below. Is there any problem with the static configurations?
Thanks!
Hi Ishtiaque,
Could you please give us the I2C/SPI SEL registers, address and value. We try to find the difference after change the IF from I2C to SPI:
SERIAL_IF_CONFIG——I2C_SPI_SEL——Value I2C:
"id": "I2C_SPI_SEL",
"value": "0",
"staticConfig": true,
"isTouched": true
SERIAL_IF_CONFIG——I2C_SPI_SEL——Value SPI:
"id": "I2C_SPI_SEL",
"value": "1",
"staticConfig": true,
"isTouched": true
Hi Lei,
Please send us your email to send you the bin file. That would be easier and let the further support be continued if needed.
Best regards,
Ishtiaque Panhwar
Hi Lei,
Thanks for sharing the contact and I have provided the requested binary file.
