Hi Shiresh. I managed to recreate the original zip file and got the above error again. Zip file attached.

Thanks Shirish. I am using the BQ34Z100 as a system side device. The current through the load is measured by the BQ34Z100, but the current drawn by the BQ34Z100 and associated PIC micro is not. If I let the voltage drop below 2.5V, then the battery doesn't power the BQ34Z100 for the 5 hours required to record the relaxation period. Should I power the BQ34Z100 and PIC from an independent supply?

The bq34z100 can be used on system side but with limitations. It can only gauge the same battery.
For GPCCHEM logs, you cannot have any other circuitry connected. Just the gauge to measure and log. And yes, you can power the gauge with an external source. The PIC/system side circuitry must be removed or it can be part of the load if it draws a constant current. Make sure to discharge at the correct rate.
