LM7800: Temperature spec

Part Number: LM7800

Hi team,

Is there an alternative choice of LM7812 with -40 to 125°C as well as package TO-263?

I only found -40°C with TO-220 for LM7800.

    Hello Rebecca,

    LM7800 is the generic part number of LM7812 and the KTT (TO-263) package is rated for 0°C-125°C. LM7812CT/NOPB is in NDE (TO-220) package which is the only one rated for -40°C to 125°C in that family. These devices are older devices, if you can share the requirements, I might be able to find a newer part which are typically temperature rated -40°C to 125°C.

    Please refer to the below requirement.

    A p2p device will be preferred, at least SBD, and -40°C to 125°C is a must feature. Thanks a lot!

    • Vin: 15V
    • Vout: 12V
    • Iout: 1A

    Hello Rebecca,

    LM2940S-12/NOPB or LM2940SX-12/NOPB are a P2P replacement with operating temperature range -40°C to 125°C. The difference is package quantity 45(Tube) vs 500(Large T&R) respectively. However, these are older devices instead I would recommend a newer device like TLV767, but it is not P2P.
