Hi TI Power Team,
I'd like to ask you about the devices that can meet the target specifications. Please check an attached requirements below and let me know your recommended devices.
Regards,
Jeffrey

Hi Jeffrey,
Does the customer need three buck converters to achieve 12V, -12V, and 5V output respectively? How much safety margin is required for the input voltage? Looking forward to your reply. Thanks.

Hi Aurora,
Please check my answer below.
Does the customer need three buck converters to achieve 12V, -12V, and 5V output respectively? Yes
How much safety margin is required for the input voltage? There is no specific safety margin for input voltage.
Regards,
Hi Jeffrey,
The input voltage margin needs to be confirmed by you and the customer, and different applications require different margins.
For 12V and 5V output, it is generally recommended to choose a 36V withstand voltage chip. You can recommend the following:
For -12V output, in the case of no voltage margin, the input voltage is 24V, and the withstand voltage of the chip must be 36V or above. Use buck to make IBB circuit. If customers feel that the withstand voltage is not enough, they can choose the following two chips with higher withstand voltage.
For the design process of IBB circuit, please refer to AN. Thanks

Hi Aurora,
Thanks for your kind response. Let me check with the customer and I will ask you if they have the additional questions.
Regards,
Hi Aurora,
The customer said that your recommended devices of +/-12V output are not met on their target ripple noise specification. Please check and recommend other devices that can be met on their requirements.
Regards,
Hi Jeffrey,
None of our products can achieve such a small output voltage ripple. It is recommended that customers add an LDO after our DC/DC converter. Thanks.
