BQ40Z50-R1: can't enter PWR_SAVE_VSHUT(Power Save Shutdown)

Hi,Engineers

I am using BQ40Z50. I have set [PWR_SAVE_VSHUT]，PS shutdown voltage(3300mV)(lowest cell voltage is below it),PS NoLoadResCap Threshold(1200mAh).When I discharged the cell to the end of discharge voltage(2850mV), I found that OperationStatus()[PSSHUT] is not set to 1 and IT status[REST] is not set to 1,too.I have waited for more than 24 hours but BQ40Z50 is still not shutdown.

.
So whether I set or understand it wrong and how to deal with it？

Hello Lion,

You are in the flat voltage region (OCVFR is set) the gauge will not take an OCV until 48 hours has passed while in this region which is why REST is not setting. What chem ID are you using?

The chem ID is 2708.I find the gauge has shutdown,the reason for which may be 48 hours need to be taken as you said

Hello Lion,

The region for this chem Id is as follows:

Q Invalid MaxV = 4079
Q Invalid MinV = 4039

What most likely happened is after charge the cell relaxed into the flat region, even after a discharge in the flat region the OCVFR will not clear (defined in the TRM). You should see the gauge enter shutdown after 48 hours.

What is Q Invalid MaxV or Q Invalid MinV?Are the lower and upper voltage values of the flat voltage region?

Yes they are the range for the OCVFR region.

PS No Load ResCap should be set according to your system requirements.
