For PFC converter, please search some UCCxxx device in HVP, I'm not familiar with it.

As you can see, both solutions you shared are low power, < 10W, while my target application is around 65W. This is where it becomes very challenging

yes, so I suppose UCCXX part may be more suitable for your application. 

If I take the cap drop design and change the C1 size, is it possible that I can reach the required output current? May be use other buck converter as well. Are you aware of any limitation? Because I can see this kind of transform-less design always used for low power, but can't figure out why
