UCC27712-Q1: Searching for a non-isolated half-bridge gate driver that does not have integrated diode

Part Number: UCC27712-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC27710, UCC27714, UCC27288, LM5109B-Q1

Hello,

I am looking for a non-isolated half-bridge gate driver that does not have an integrated diode. I only found UCC27712-Q1 on the site, but I would like to see if there are more options.

Yun Liu

  • Hello Yun,

There are other 600V half bridge drivers that do not have the integrated diode from TI, those part numbers are the UCC27710 and UCC27714. If you are interested in 100V half bridge drivers let me know.

    Regards,

  • Hello Yun,

As Richard mentioned, there are several 600V half-bridge drivers that do not have the integrated diode from TI. Here are a couple of the 100V half-bridge drivers we have available at TI: UCC27288 and LM5109B-Q1.

  • Hello Avery,

Thank you for your help. The UCC27288 seems like it has an integrated diode inside the chip as shown below.

I am also looking for automotive-grade components as well. As far as what I researched, the family of UCC27710, only UCC27712-Q1 is automotive-graded. I also found that LM5109B-Q1 is also another automotive-grade component in low voltage with possibly no integrated diode. Thank you for confirming that LM5109B-Q1 does not have integrated diode.

    Thank you for your help.

  • Hey Yun,

I am glad I could help! For the UCC27288, there is no integrated diode. Thank you for highlighting this error on our datasheet - we will fix it on our next revision. As for now, if you want to use this driver, please follow the Functional Block Diagram from Figure 7.2 for the correct layout.

    Best,

    Avery
