LM5070: POE transformers for LM5070 controller

Hi, 

I have a question regarding LM5070 for this requirements

POE requirements  V out: 12V, 1A. Where to look for POE transformers for this controller and what characteristics to check? Is this solution suitable for the new products or there are better alternatives?

    Hi Julia,

    Coilcraft's C1586-AL is a transformer that was specifically developed for use with the LM5070, and meets your 12 V, 1 A output requirements.
    For other transformer options, I would check for a flyback transformer suited for 13 W applications,  with the 12V, 1A Vout. You can refer to the datasheet for the C1586-AL to compare.

    The LM5070 itself is one of our older products, a newer product that has similar function would be the TPS23753A, if you were interested in looking at newer products.
