Hello,

I got this demo board and configured it to run with the INA180A1 in a constant current mode.

I am happy with the performane with the circuit, when I open the LED load the TPS63000 will be damaged!

The FB pin is used for the current control, but can I also use this pin to set the output voltage

so the device don't get damaged. If so how?

Hi Alan,

one possible way is to use a Zener diode place between PINs Vout and FB. When Vout is higher then the break voltage of Zener, this diode will make the device stop switching and keep device safe.

Thank you for your quick reply! I do know this method as I have usd this method on some other driver from a different manufacturer. I like

to get another opinion from another Engineer to save myself blowing up more of this driver. I can confirm this does work :) and thank you
