TPS22810: MTBF and FIT rate

Part Number: TPS22810
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS562211

Hello Team,

I am looking at MTBF on TPS22810DRVR

I´ve done the calculation online and got for both the value FIT=0,1 at 55°C.

Also for other components like the SN2104035 (L1V30837572) we have in use I get these value of FIT=0,1 also at 55°C.

Moreover I´ve done calculation for TPS562211 (L1V30873931); here I´ve got FIT=0,2 at 55°C.

Here I´m little astonished, because a standard

Kerko X7R already has FIT-value FIT=2 at 40°C.

Kerko C0G already hat FIT-value FIT=1 at 40°C

Are these values really realistic?.

Thank you!

Christian

  • Christian,

I believe this difference could be attributed to the difference in reported FIT rates.

The 1 and 2 FIT rate reports could be the Functional safety FIT rate based on the industry standard IEC 62380, whereas what is shown in the online calculator is the Technology FIT rate.

    Best Regards,
