hi Team,

Could you help review the schematic of Input.pdf input.pdf

The is automotive application for using Or-ing, Reverse current blocking, Reverse polarity protection.

Vin 1 & 2 = 12V

Load Current = 5A

Revers polarity protection test voltage= -14V

Hi Sekhar,

For 12V automotive battery ORing application, LM74700-Q1 is recommended to be used instead of LM5050-1 as it has integrated input reverse polarity protection. Can you change the schematics to LM74700-Q1 and send again for review ?

Dear Praveen,

Thanks for your taking the schmatic review. Can we use the LM74700-Q1, but what is reason to use the LM74700-Q1 instead of LM5050-1-Q except integrated input reverse polarity protection.

Hi Sekhar,

LM74700-Q1 can reduce the additional components required for LM5050-1 to realize input reverse polarity protection.

Also, LM74700-Q1 has higher gate drive strength compared to that of LM5050-1 which enables faster turn ON of FETs.
