We are going to build a Filter demo board with and without the TPSF12C3. Do you have a suggestion how this filter can be tested with the TPSF active part? We use the LCR or the VNA to verify the filter characteristic, but I guess this will not work with the TPSF12C3 active or I am wrong?

Hi Thomas,

I recommend measuring the CM choke impedance and complete the quickstart calculator. Also, it would be good to model your design in SIMPLIS or PSPICE.

For low-voltage testing (prior to connecting the filter to the power stage), you can apply a 5V pk-pk square wave at ~100kHz through a 100pF cap (this is similar to the switch node of a regulator capacitively coupling CM noise to chassis GND). Verify that the INJ voltage is stable and operating within the applicable voltage limits.

Here is a typical schematic for the low-voltage signal injection test. You can measure the resultant EMI with a LISN, Also, you can measure attenuation performance with AEF disabled (tie the inject cap to GND) and enabled.
