TPS54231: Check schematic with TPS54231 for simplely CC/CV application

Hi team,

My customer would like to use TPS54231 CC/CV function for the charger application.

Customer refer to the application note below.

But due to some application that add new functions here. Could you help check the ground plan and current sensing can work or not?

Hi Jimmy,

Seems you short the Rsns, I don't suggest to do so. The Rsns provides the necessary closed loop feedback to the chip to maintain a constant current (CC) based charging. If you short Rsns, I think the CC charging cannot be implemented.

Hi Miranda,

The GND and 2S-GND are not conect. pls, ignore the short. if so the schematic can work?

Hi Jimmy,

So you just add some circuits on loading side, for filter and protection purpose?

The picture is not clear, couldn't see component parameters. Overall I do not foresee the risks.
