TPS54A20: About "Gate drive capacitor" 's Value

Hi, TI expert

"8.2.2.10 Gate Drive Capacitor Selection" says to add a 1uF capacitor, but do I have to consider derating due to DC bias, etc.? Considering the DC bias, the EVM is 0.33uF. On the other hand, the capacitor I want to attach is 0.18uF, is that a problem?

    Hi Ryota-san,

    The 1uF capacitor on our EVM has 0.66uF capacitance after 5V DC bias (as shown below), and we do not recommend anything lower than 0.5uF (50% derating), so 0.18uF is not sufficient. Anything lower could cause stability issues.
