I'm currently Testing my development Pack inside a thermal chamber to verify charging and discharging within our specified temperature range

I've set the chamber to -10C but my BMS is only reading -7C,

should i set my Thermal chamber temperature lower or does the BQ40Z%0-R2 not read temperature that low?

What's the BQ40Z50-R2 temperature sensor capability

Hello Jonathan,

There will be higher temperature error at the more extreme temperatures. You can try calibrating the temperature offset, but there will always be some offset at low temperatures and very high temperatures. This will have minimal impact on the gauging accuracy.

My question is more on the capability of the temperature sensor for BQ40Z50-R2

what's the lower and upper temperature limit it can sense up to???

Hello Jonathan,

The limit would be the same as the operational temperature of the gauge, the further away from 25degC the higher the error will be. You should see within +/-3degC within the operational limit.
