LM5149: Current sharing function with current loop

Part Number: LM5149

Good morning, I'm designing a costant current power supply using the LM5149, I've created a feedback loop using a shunt and OP-AMPs and it works fine in the range 0.5A-10A, i was wondering now if I can parallelize more ICs using the SYNC functionality like if I was using a normal voltage FB or if i need a different approach.

Thank you.

  • Hello,

Yes it should be possible, you would just need an external clock generator with 0, 90, and 270 degree phase shift.

You would synchronize the master to 0 degrees, and then third and fourth phases to 90 and 270 degrees, those two would be configured as secondaries and sharing the COMP.

    Hope this helps,
