BQ40Z50-R1: BQ40Z50-R1 FUSE broken

Part Number: BQ40Z50-R1

Hi

The customer design with BQ40Z50-R1, the battery fail return from the end user because the fuse broken. FUSE_EN,PTC was disable.

Products placed in warehouse also have been found the fuse broken. The screen as below.

Attached the failure battery gg file.

    Hello Star,

    Can you explain further why the fuse operation is broken? The FUSE bit will set from either external secondary protector or the gauge, even if FUSE_EN = 0 the FUSE bit will still set from secondary protector. Also the PTC is populated on the schematic, PTC is a hardware protection and will still blow the fuse if conditions are met and FUSE_EN = 0.

    Can you share the whole schematic? There is no fuse circuitry shown in the image shared.
