TPS53659: Is SN1701022 and TPS53659 compatible.

Hello,

I am working on a project where INTEL XEON D-1746 (Idaville, Icelake) Processor is used.

I have the power solution from TI for this processor series where the VR13 regulator "SN1701022" is used to generate all the supplies.

But I didn't find much about this component.

I have searched one more part (TPS53659) from selection guidelines document.

Now, I want to whether both parts are similar, can TPS53659 be used for Idaville series?

Hi Raj,

Are you asking about pin compatibility? They are not pin compatible, but they are function compatible. Both can do 4+1, but only the TPS53659 can do 3+2 phase configuration.

Hi Raj,

It depends on the setup as the SN1701022 cannot do 3+2 configuration, but yes, they are compatible.
