Hi,

I got the following SMBus data of DAStatus1 and DAStatus3.

1) What is the meaning of 22 and 14 highlighted in the red in Read Transaction?

2) for the 0x44 ManufacturerBlockAccess, do we need to send the write command of 0x44 again? The one highlighted in green.

Hello Kim,

The first byte of an SMBus block read gives you the number of bytes to read.

I'm not sure I understand the structure of the packets from the snippet, there should be an example for how to use the 0x44 ManufacturerBlockAccess() in the TRM.

Hi Wyatt,

For the following example, the number of byte of DAStatus3 read block is 18.

However the first byte of the block read is 14.

Can you explain the reason?

Hello Kim,

The value is in hex, 0x14 = 20 decimal which matches the response size. You must include the 7B 00 as well.
