    Hey Veni,

    I would recommend looking over section 6.4 of the TRM. This talks about the requirements for the gauge to enter into SHUTDOWN mode. Besides the SHUTDOWN command, there is a Voltage Based Shutdown, Time Based Shutdown, and Power Save Shutdown.
