UCC28C52: SEPIC voltage regulator

Hello,

I came across the UCC28C52 PWM controller IC and I wanted to know if it could be used in a SEPIC voltage regulator application. I can see from the datasheet that it can be used a s a Flyback converter but I am interested in exploring its capabilities as a SEPIC converter.

Hi. The typical application of this controller is for flybacks. Looking for some reference design, I was unable to find a controller from UCC family for SEPIC application. However, I found some reference designs for SEPICs in the following link TI Reference Designs Library In that list you can click on the reference design part number that you want (depending on the power specifications of your converter, Vin, Vout, Iout) and check the BOM to find the controller part number. As an example, you have the TPS40210 data sheet, product information and support | TI.com, which is a PWM current mode control IC that can drive a SEPIC, Boost or Flyback. I hope this helps.
