BQ78350-R1: do bq78350 has a Firmware Flow Chart

Part Number: BQ78350-R1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ78350

Hello TI,

Do bq78350 has a firmware flow chart supporting document to understand the protection flags and latching algorithms in order to get best out of gauge monitoring? similar to Figure 6.1 Gas Gauge Operation Mode in SLUUBBC1D.

Thank you

  • The TRM has the most information about firmware. There is no other document that shows the firmware flow chart.

  • Thank yo for the reply
in TRM i see some confusing state transition or i could not understand easily, in 3.6.1 Overload in Discharge Protection, AOLDL counter is decremented in alert state then will never exceed to the AOLD:Latch Limit to get into latch. does this AOLDL counter ≥ AOLD:Latch Limit directly mean (internal counter  ≥ AOLD:Latch Limit) to get in latch state? or AOLDL + internal counter   ≥ AOLD:Latch Limit ?

  • Hello Ramoliya,

The AOLDL counter is an internal variable that is initialized from data flash setting. It first decrements and results in a trip at 0. Then it increments and when it reaches the latch limit, it result in a latch
