TPS7B86-Q1: TLS850D0TAV50 : EOL

Part Number: TPS7B86-Q1

Hello LDO team,

I got information that IFX discontinue TLS850D0TAV50 .

The customer requests TI to find alternative solution with p2p compatiblity.

As we check it by cross-reference, most closing device would be TPS7B86-Q1 (but it might be wrong)

Do you have any proposal to replace TLS850D0TA?

Regards,

ti

  • Hi ti,

TPS7B8650BQDDARQ1 or TPS7B8650DQDDARQ1 are the best OPN-level functional crosses for TLS850D0TAV50. They are the 5-V versions of TPS7B86-Q1 that include Power Good functionality.

We do not have a p2p option, but the HSOIC (DDA) package is optimized for solution size (4.89mm x  3.90mm body) without sacrificing thermal performance (41.8 °C/W RθJA).

Compare this to the TO-263 package, which is ~350% larger in terms of area (10.16 mm x 8.42 mm not including leads), with an RθJA value of only 10-20 °C/W lower.

TPS7B86-Q1 is also one of our hero devices on 300mm wafer, so it is very well-positioned in terms of supply outlook.

  • Hi Kelsey,

Thanks, understood. The IFX's package is very unique.

I know TPS7B8650B, but never seen TPS7B8650D (the link is not available). Let me know the detail of 86D.

  • Hi ti,

Kelsey is now OoO until 7/14.

The 86D that Kelsey mentioned is just a different orderable for the TPS7B86-Q1 and is in the datasheet. The "D" indicates that the device has PG functionality.
