Hi Team,
The customer wants to know if BQ40Z80 manages a 4-string battery, does Vshutdown- mean that a single battery is less than 2.2V Max, or the total series voltage of four batteries is less than 2.2V Max?
Regards,
Annie

Hello Annie,
Datasheet values always specify which voltage is being referenced. The shutdown is based on the stack, not per-cell basis. If voltage is less than 2v typ, then the gauge will enter shutdown (forced by hardware) you can enter shutdown mode through the firmware which has different criteria outlined in the TRM.

Hi Wyatt,
Unfortunately, the customer still did not understand. Does the shutdown voltage compare with the voltage of PIN PACK? Or any other pin's voltage? Or what voltage difference?
Regards,
Annie
Hello Annie,
Yes it references the PACK pin on the gauge.
Sincerely,
Wyatt Keller
