Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ34Z100EVM, BQ34Z100-G1
Hi team,
VOK has jumped to 0 in bit register, REST has jumped to 1, but UPDATE has not tripping.
Could you help check this case? Thanks.
Best Regards,
Cherry

Hi Nick,
Thank you for the support.
The gauge being used is BQ34Z100-G1 and the board is BQ34Z100EVM.
Can you send me a BQStudio log file, the gg file,
Please see here:
Thanks and regards,
Cherry
Hey Cherry,
The log file looks fine. My only concern is that the process was completed at a pretty warm temperature. I noticed that the temperature is around 32 degrees Celsius throughout the test. It is recommended that the temperature is around room temperature when completing the learning cycle, so around 20-25 degrees Celsius. I would recommend try to complete the learning cycle again, but this time discharge at a lower rate, at around 75 mA.
Sincerely,
Nick Richards

They'll have a try with lower rate. When the status is stuck at 05, they tried to charge and the status was jumped to 06. What might be the issue here? This is the flowchart:

Hey Cherry,
Sometimes when completing the learning cycle, after that discharge, the gauge has made the internal Ra table calculations and have complete everything properly. However, the gauge may not have updated the Data Memory, which is what is visible to the user. Charging the battery can trigger the gauge to update data memory, which could be the reason why you see Update Status change to 6 when they started charging the battery.
Sincerely,
Nick Richards
