Part Number: TPS544B25EVM-681
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: USB-TO-GPIO2, TPS544B25

Hello,

USB-to-GPIO seems not to be available anymore and USB-to-GPIO2 is available now.
Can TPS544B25 be evaluated with the USB-to-GPIO2 with no issues?
what version of Fusion GUI is required?

Best regards,

USB-to-GPIO seems not to be available anymore and USB-to-GPIO2 is available now.

Yes, that is correct.  The USB interface IC used in the 2006 USB-TO-GPIO interface adapter was discontinued several years ago and has been replaced with the 2022 USB-TO-GPIO2 interface adapter.  This newer interface adapter expands on the capabilities of the 2006 USB-TO-GPIO adapter with higher bus speeds, lower resistance termination capabilities, and some improved features.

Can TPS544B25 be evaluated with the USB-to-GPIO2 with no issues?

Yes, the latest versions of the FUSION Digital Power Designer tool - ti.com/tool/FUSION_DIGITAL_POWER_DESIGNER supports both the legacy 2006 USB-TO-GPIO and new 2022 USB-TO-GPIO2.  The adapter being used should be transparent to the user interface.  The newest versions of the FUSION Digital Power Designer also maintain all of the same look, feel, and functionality of the prior versions the FUSION Digital Power Designer.

what version of Fusion GUI is required?

Please use the latest version of the FUSION Digital Power designer downloaded from ti.com/tool/FUSION_DIGITAL_POWER_DESIGNER
