BQ28Z610EVM-532: TI is showing positive current for charging, and also positive current for discharging. What settings are wrong here?

Thanks for the link. I followed the instructions and calibrated the voltage (there is no option to calibrate current for this gauge) but I still see the same result. Current is positive during discharge and SoC is always 100%

That is strange. When I use BQStudio for this part I am seeing the current calibration section on my screen. Can you show me a screenshot of the Calibration screen? Also in the meantime, I would recommend updating the firmware for the EV2400 to version v0.32. Note, close out the BQStudio application before you try to update the firmware. https://www.ti.com/tool/EV2400

Here is a screenshot of after I calibrated and unchecked the box (they were checked when I calibrated)

What is especially strange is that measuring the sense pins gives me negative voltage when discharging and positive when charging. So that is correct. Something in the settings is wrong where they both become positive current.

Is there a way to copy all settings from my other gauge that I used for characterization and apply it to this one? Not the gas gauging, but these registers:

Hey Kelvin,

If you go to the Firmware tab, this is where you will be able to create and program the srec file (which is the file that contains all the information for the gauge). Therefore, connect the gauge that was working to the EV2400, click "Read Srec from Device" and save the file to your computer. Then connect the gauge that is not working and press "Program" and select the file that you just saved to your computer.

Thanks. I did this procedure confident that it would work. It looks like all the settings were brought over correctly from the working gauge, but I'm still seeing the same issue where current is positive no matter what and the SoC is still 100%. I will keep on trying different things to find out what's going on.

When you sent me the image of the Calibration page, there was a section for Current Calibration, which is exactly what I see when I use BQstudio. Did trying to use this feature not work for you?
