BQ40Z80: Recommendations for 6S charging/protection/fuel gauge IC

Hello, I am building a battery pack with a 6S lipo battery pack (https://www.overlander.co.uk/lipo-batteries/22-2v-6s/2900mah-22-2v-6s-35c-supersport-pro-lipo-battery.html) and am looking for a suitable charging/fuel gauge IC. I have found the BQ40Z80 which looks good for the fuel gauge/protection part (I think), but am struggling to find a suitable charging IC, are there any recommendations?

The BQ24610 is the only up to 6 cell charger we have at the moment.

Hello Steve,

There are no multicell gauges with individual cell measurement, balancing, and protections that use I2C for a 6s application. We only offer the top of stack gauges for high cell counts that use I2C, like BQ34Z100 or BQ34110.

Hi Steve,

More detailed information will be available when the part is fully released on TI.com/chargers in a couple weeks. What I can disclose now is that it will be able to support more cells in series and higher Vin than BQ24610. So if you need a higher power device than what BQ24610 can provide, this part should be able to provide that.
