TPS7B63-Q1: WDO / PG pull-up resistor

Part Number: TPS7B63-Q1

Hi Team.

Are there any problems with putting 47kΩ pullup resistors on the WDO or PG lines?

Best Regards,
Saito

  • Hi Saito,

There's not an outright problem, the circuit will still function as they are just open drain fault indicator transistors.

Technically a larger resistor will cause very slightly slower charging of the PG and WDO rails when switching from L to H. But this is very insignificant and will almost be immeasurable. I do not see any problem using 47k pull ups for this device. Generally 100k is what we recommend for our pull up resistors so the design is very comfortable in this range.

    Regards,

    John
