BQ40Z80: LEDs display state of charge

Dear Support,

i am using BQ40Z80 for a 3S battery pack and i enabled the LED display function (6 LEDs). The learning process is on going right now and i think that untill it's not over i can't visualize the correct configuration (i can only see all LEDs on or just one ON regardless of the state of charge) of LEDs in order to dispaly the state of charge: i am wondering if there is another way to use LEDs to visualize the state of charge without the learning process.

Hello Giorgio,

Have you seen Section 9.1.6 LED Blinking Option for State of Charge in the TRM?

Also, please reference to this Video and this FAQ for LED configuration.

Hi Jose,

i set blinking option for state of charge to 0 and 1 but it seems that it didn't work: i am not able to visualize the state of charge by the LEDs: are you sure that learning cycle is not mandatory in order to do that?

Hello Giorgio,

The learning cycle might be needed as the LEDs are for RSOC. State of charge will not report correctly until a learning cycle is performed.
