LM5066: Access using PI-Commander GUI

Part Number: LM5066
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: USB2ANY,

Hi,

We are facing unwanted shutdowns and inaccurate readings. We want to access the LM5066 device using PI-Commander GUI to debug the issue.

Which adapter do I have to use to connect the device? Any USB to I2C/SMBus adaptor will work or we need any special adapter.

  • Hi,

We tried with USB2ANY adapter and we are able read the registers using USB2ANY Explorer software.

Same way we have tried to detect the LM5066 in PI-Commander GUI using USB2ANY adapter but it's not detecting LM5066, please refer above image.

  • Hi ISWARYA,

    Welcome to E2E !!!

The FTDI dongle needs to be used to communicate with the LM5066 device through the PI Commander GUI, as shown below. The FTDI dongle comes with the LM5066EVK. Please order the LM5066EVK from the TI store. The USB2ANY adapter will not work.
