Why NRND for all wireless charging transmitters?

Hi TI,

I have been trying to find a WPC/Qi wireless charging transmitter IC, but it seems all your ICs are NRND - why is that? I have made my own receiver using the BQ51051, but I am seriously worried that TI is discontinuing the whole line of wireless charging.

    Hello

    We have reduced investment and support for wireless power.  The Wireless Power Transmitters IC, BQ50xxx are NRND and but not obsolete, they may not meet the current WPC/Qi standards.

    Note that if product has any current customer demand it is not eligible of obsolescence.
