LM7481-Q1: Looking for a dual power supply with load dump and reverse polarity protection, is this th right component?

Hi, I have a PCB that has dual 28-32V inputs which are connected to a DCDC and 28V battery. I need this to be connected together to share the load and work if only 1 is present. Is this the correct method to do this? I current just have both going through a schottky diode and joined together after. I don't think this is enough protection. Any examples or better suggestions would be great, thank you!

Also, I need to sense the supply voltage of each supply seperately with a MCU ADC, I guess I just throw it through a voltage divider after protection?
