Hi,

LM2676SX-ADJ/NOPB We received 2500pcs, up advance visual inspection we could identify the bellow discrepancy;

Incomplete plating (Solder-Tin) on the lead solder (non-critical area) was identified.
No anomalies observed on the critical areas of lead bottom.

Does this situation meet TI's standards? We are concerned that it may cause some issue after use on board.

Are you having question about the quality of the devices or are just requesting suggestion that does this situation meet standard?

Are the images abnormal soldered? Can you please attach a normal image for reference? Can this be related to the welding process?

Hi Gui He,

We haven't use on board, but our QC feedback this problem, seems the plating is incomplete, we wanna figure out does this situation meet TI's QC standard, and is there any quality potential risk in use.

I checked with our expert internally. This is the resin bleed instead of Incomplete plating, we are still acceptable on this reject criteria according to QSS

I think yes because:

The resin bleed meet TI standard (< 1/3 of the lead length).
This type of the resin bleed did not impact to solderability or solder joint performance.
