Working with R_OSC TPS65981

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65981, TPS65987

We have a unique design where we are using a 100K Ohm resistor on pin R_OSC. This was a mistake as we are supposed to have a 15KOhm resistor per the data sheet. In any case we have product out there with the 100kOhm resistor and recently found this issue as we were designing a new product. My question is as follow: Can we use the 100K and change it on the fly to 15K to switch to from nonstandard timing communication to standard communication without powering Down/Up? Nonstandard will be used with our product in the market (with the 100K) and standard with the 15K with the new product and to communicate with other standard devices like a PC for file transfer. In our UI I would have a button that will switch between the two scenarios. I would welcome any other ideas that you may have.
