BQ25792: Which device is lower price than BQ25792 for the customer requirments?

Hello guys,

One of my customer is looking for a TI battery charger device with has the following features.
Could you please give me your reply?

They were considering using BQ25792 for new products.
But they knew that BQ25792 has higher performance at some features than their requirements.
They don't need such higher performance Also they want to reduce the battery charger device cost.

Their requirements are the follows.

1. A charger for Lithium-Ion 2cells ~4cells
2. Icharge > 4A
3. Maximum Vin > 24V
4. Control topology : Buck
5. Total charger cost (controller + FET) < BQ25792 case
6. OTG is not needed.
7. VSYSMIN can be set

    Hi Kazuya,

    Unfortunately, we do not have an NVDC charger (with SYSMIN) with the features above.  BQ25672 is NVDC can provide 3A charge current.  BQ24610 with external FETs can provide 4A but does not have SYSMIN.

    Hi Jeff,

    Thank you very much for your reply and I'm sorry to be late my response.

    I introduced both devices to the customer and they preferred BQ24610 though the device doesn't have VSYSMIN function.
    Also they is interested in BQ24600 which has similar functions.

    At the moment, they have the following question.
    Could you please give me your reply?

    Q. I think BQ24610 is similar function with BQ24600. But the device 1kU price is difference.
         Why BQ24610 is higher price than BQ24600?

    BQ24610 has additional input current limit safety feature.
